Best practices

These habits help you build a polished event site faster and avoid surprises after you publish.

Before you build

  • Set up your brand first. Add your brand in Brand Library, then link it on the Artifacts tab. Agent Epoch uses your logos, colors and fonts.

  • Connect Stripe early. You need a connected Stripe account before you can charge for tickets.

While you build

  • Give Agent Epoch the facts. Include the event type, audience, date, venue, the sections you want and the questions to ask. The ideas under What event are you planning? show the level of detail that works well.

  • Share your source material. Attach your event brief, a reference image or a Google Doc instead of retyping it.

  • Match the quality to the task. Use Fast draft while you explore and Max polish for the final look.

  • Check each change. Click Show what changed after Agent Epoch replies. If you don't like a change, restore an earlier version from Version history.

Before you publish

  • Preview the version you want live. Publishing puts the previewed version live. If you saved changes after your last preview, build a new preview first.

  • Choose your subdomain carefully. Your address is set the first time you publish and can't be changed later.

  • Know when your site retires. Your address stays live through your event and retires 30 days after it ends.

Before the event

  • Turn on QR check-in in Settings so guests get a QR code and wallet pass by email.

  • Create check-in links for staff under Guests > Check-in. Staff only need the link, not an EpochX account.

  • Avoid unpublishing a live event. Unpublishing closes registration right away and retires your address. When you publish again, you pick a new one.
