What the Epoch builder agent can do

The builder agent is the chat beside your event builder. It does much more than build pages. It can set up registration, tickets, Groups, emails and guest updates for you.

For Event Marketers, Demand Generation, Admins

The builder agent is the chat beside your event builder. It does much more than build pages. It can set up registration, tickets, Groups, emails and guest updates for you.

This page does not give you steps. It shows what is possible, so you know when to ask. If a task feels slow or repetitive, ask the agent first. Use your own words. Be as creative as you like.

Tip

Under the chat box you can pick Fast draft, Balanced or Max polish. Fast draft is the default. Max polish takes longer and puts more care into the design.

Your site and its look

About to copy your logo and brand colours by hand? Give the agent your company's website by pasting your company URL in the chat panel. The agent will create a brand library using your your logo, colors and fonts.

About to search for stock photos? The agent can create images for your site. It can also save photos from a page you link.

About to copy and paste details about the event’s venue speakers? Paste the link in your message. The agent reads up to 3 pages from the links in that message.

Saw a site design you like? Paste up to 4 screenshots. The agent uses them for style. It copies the layout only when you ask.

Need a video on the page? Provide the agent with a YouTube or Vimeo link, or upload an mp4 or webm file. A site can have up to 5 videos.

Starting from zero, but you ran a similar event before? The agent can reference your team's past events for ideas.

About to retype an agenda or speaker list from a document? You can prompt the agent to grab the information from an attached file.

Attach the file (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PDF or CSV, up to 4 files of 8 MB each). You can also attach a Google Doc, Sheet or Slides link with the link button. The Google file must be shared as "Anyone with the link".

"Use the speaker bios in this PDF to make a speakers section."

Event details and registration

Need to control who can see or register for your event? The agent can make the event invite-only, require a password to register, ask guests to sign in with their company login (SSO), or ask them to verify their email.

About to build the registration form one question at a time? Describe what you want to know. The agent adds the questions: text, choices, dates, numbers, phone, file uploads and party size. It can also:

  • Show a question only when another answer matches, or only to a Group.

  • Check answers. For example: only work emails, a phone number from one country, a date in a given range.

  • Change the button text, the thank-you message and the page titles of the form.

"Add a dietary question, but only for guests who said yes to the dinner."

Have an agenda with many sessions? The agent can add, change and remove sessions, set capacity, and apply rules to limit who can see or register for the session, including making the sessions available or unavailable based on the guests’ other sessions selected.

Tickets

About to make ticket types one by one? Describe your pricing. The agent creates free or paid tickets and set the ticket quantity, limit per order, sale dates, approval, and hidden or access code-only tickets. Paid tickets need a connected US Stripe account.

Need unique discount codes for a partner? The agent makes up to 200 coupons or access codes in one request.

Guests lost their tickets? The agent can email guests their tickets again. The event must be published and QR check-in must be on.

"Make 30 single-use codes that give 100% off the VIP ticket."

Guests and Groups

About to sort guests into lists by hand? The agent creates Groups and adds people to them. It can import a Group from a Google Sheet link or an attached CSV file (up to 10,000 rows).

About to fix guest details one row at a time? Attach a spreadsheet. The agent can update a guest list by mapping spreadsheet data to fill in names, company, job title, phone, answers, statuses and sessions, and add new guests.

About to filter the Flow tab to track a guest flow again and again? Ask the agent to show only the guests you want. It saves the view.

Emails

About to write a reminder or follow-up email? Tell the agent who should get it and when. The agent can draft a series of emails and specify who to send it to and when to send it.

The agent will specify the guests to send an email to based on an answer to a registration question, the guest’s status, a session and more. It will also select an appropriate trigger for when the email should be sent, such as when guests register, or based on a status change. Emails can also be scheduled for a set time or relative time, or saved to be sent manually by you.

Need to change who gets an email you already made? Ask the agent.

"Two days before the workshop, email only the guests in that session with the room number."

Contacts, invites and results

About to export contacts from your CRM? The agent can find HubSpot contacts that match your filter and save them as a contact group. Your CRM must be connected to EpochX to do this.

About to send invitations one by one? Give the agent email addresses (up to 500) or a saved contact group. Only team admins can invite, and the event must be published.

Want to know if the event moved deals? The agent can provide insights about pipeline attribution for an event or across events. Your CRM must be connected to EpochX to do this.

Need to share guest details with a caterer or sponsor? The agent can create a link to share with collaborators that only includes the details relevant to them. Collaborators aren’t required to have an EpochX account.

You always have final say

The agent is careful with changes guests see.

  • Emails, invites, removing a ticket type, cancelling a code: the agent shows a preview first. It acts only after you say yes in a new message.

  • Guest updates from a file: you press Apply on the review card.

  • Decisions: the agent will ask for your confirmation.

  • What waits for Publish: changes to event details, the form and sessions. Guests see them only after you publish.

  • What is live at once: ticket types, coupons, access codes, Groups and emails.

What you do yourself

  • Publish the site.

  • Go back to an earlier version from the Versions list.

If the agent cannot do something, it lets you know. It can also pass your request to the EpochX team.
